We're thrilled to announce that we're moving to a new (to us) shop! This isn't just a change of address; it's a significant milestone for us, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter. With this move, we're embracing a fresh start, full of new possibilities and opportunities to enhance our services and offerings. Going from part of a basement to a full two-car garage is a big step, but that doesn't come plug and play (pun intended).
A Fresh Start with Endless Possibilities
Moving to a new shop is more than just relocating our equipment and inventory. It's a chance to reimagine our space, improve our operations, and create an even better environment for our team and customers. Our new location offers more space, better accessibility, and the potential for a more efficient layout. We're committed to making this new shop a hub of creativity, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
The Process: Electrical and Insulation Work
Transforming the new shop into a fully functional workspace will be a process, but we're up for the challenge. Here's what we have planned:
Running Electrical
The first step is ensuring that our new shop is equipped with the necessary electrical infrastructure to support our needs. This involves:
- Assessing the Electrical Load: We'll be evaluating our equipment's power requirements to ensure we have enough capacity.
- Installing Outlets and Circuits: We'll strategically place outlets and circuits to accommodate our layout, ensuring efficiency and safety.
- Upgrading the Panel: If needed, we'll upgrade the electrical panel to handle the increased load, providing a reliable power supply for all our operations.
Spoiler Alert: We need to add basically all of the electrical (outlets and lighting), which includes 240 and 120 power. 😂
Insulating the Shop
Insulating the shop is crucial for maintaining a comfortable and energy-efficient environment. Our plan includes:
- Choosing the Right Insulation: We'll select the best insulation materials to regulate temperature, reduce noise, and save on energy costs.
- Installing Insulation: The insulation will be installed in walls, ceilings, and any other necessary areas to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Sealing Gaps and Cracks: To prevent drafts and further improve energy efficiency, we'll seal any gaps or cracks around windows, doors, and other openings.
What This Means for You
While this move is a significant undertaking, we're committed to minimizing any disruption to our services. We believe that this transition will ultimately benefit you, our valued customers, in several ways:
- Enhanced Service Quality: With a more efficient and well-equipped workspace, we'll be able to serve you better and faster.
- Expanded Offerings: The increased space and improved infrastructure will allow us to expand our product lines and services (more cutting boards and charcuterie boards among other things!).
- Improved Customer Experience: Our new location will be more accessible and comfortable, making working in the shop more enjoyable.
- Shipping: Inventory needs to be moved, so any order placed after June 20, 2024 won't ship until the middle of next week. This gives us a few days to move inventory and get set up in the new space. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
