Shop Lighting

The Shop is Powered Up! Let There Be Light (and Tools)

After months of delays, planning, and anticipation, I’m thrilled to announce that the Cross Cut Creations workshop is finally wired and lit! With electric now fully installed—including two 220V outlets, multiple 110V double duplex outlets, and brand-new lighting—the shop is fully functional and ready to grow with me.

Power Up: Shop Electric is Live

Here’s what’s new in the shop:

🔌 (2) 220V Outlets
These heavy-duty outlets are game changers for high-powered woodworking tools like my 3 HP SawStop and other future upgrades. With two separate 220V lines, I can now run larger equipment safely and efficiently.

Multiple 110V Double Duplex Outlets
I’ve got plenty of these scattered around the shop to accommodate all the everyday tools—sanders, chargers, lights, and more. No more daisy-chaining power strips or unplugging one tool to use another.

💡 New Lighting Installed
Good lighting is a must in any shop, especially when working on detailed projects like pen turning or resin casting. With bright, energy-efficient lighting now installed, I can work longer hours with less eye strain—and finally see the true colors in my resin blanks!

🔄 Coming Soon: 50-Foot Retractable Cord Reel
To make things even more convenient, I’ll be installing a 50-foot retractable electric cord reel. This will allow me to bring power wherever I need it in the shop without running extension cords across the floor. It’s all about improving workflow and keeping things safe and tidy.

Why This Upgrade Matters

This complete electric setup and lighting installation takes Cross Cut Creations to the next level. Here’s how:

  • More Power = More Productivity – With proper electric, I can run multiple machines simultaneously without worrying about overloading circuits.
  • Lighting for Precision Work – Whether I’m making shop furniture, turning pens, or making other creations, having solid lighting makes a big difference in quality and accuracy.
  • Room to Grow – This setup allows me to scale and add new tools or workstations as Cross Cut Creations continues to expand.

What’s Next?

Now that the electric and lighting are in, the real fun begins. I’m ready to:

  • Ramp up resin blank production
  • Restock inventory for upcoming craft shows and online sales
  • Develop new product lines and experiment with materials I couldn’t use before
  • Create a more efficient and organized shop layout

With power and light on my side, I finally feel like I’m stepping into the full potential of what Cross Cut Creations can become.

Stay tuned for more updates as I continue dialing in the shop. If you’ve been following along, thank you for being part of this journey. With electric, lighting, and organization in full swing, Cross Cut Creations is officially powered up and ready to create.
